New: Learn to surf in Bali with our intensive surf courses

Surfing in Legian on a hard top board

You can switch to a hard-top long board once you master a soft-top board.

If you’re looking for beginner surfing lessons in Bali and want to learn to surf in just a few days, our new intensive surfing courses could be just what you need.

We’ve created two new surfing packages for people who want to take either two or three days of their trip to learn to surf in Bali.

The waves on Legian Beach are great for learning to surf because they are not too big and the water is usually quite shallow. The fact that it’s a sandy beach with no rocks or coral also helps.

If you choose to take our two-day surf course you’ll have five hours of private tuition, plus you’ll be able to take your board out to practise by yourself at any point over the two days. When you get tired, you’ll have a sunbed on the beach to relax on whenever you want.

Learn to surf in Bali

When you learn to surf in Bali with us, we’ll start with some basic surfing theory.

With the 3-day surf course, you’ll get seven hours of private surf coaching and you may be able to progress from a soft-top board to a long board for more advanced maneuvers.

With both learn-to-surf packages, your instructor will start by teaching you some basic surfing theory so you know how to lie and stand on the board correctly. When you complete your course you’ll receive a Chandra’s Surfing t-shirt, exclusive to our Legian surf school!

As with all our private surf lessons, we’ll be sure to take some photos of the action and these are provided to you free of charge so you have some great memories (and proof!) of learning to surf in Bali.

The two-day surfing course costs 1,200,000 IDR for one person, or 1,050,000 per person if you have a group of two or more.

For the three-day surfing course it’s 1,650,000 IDR, or 1,450,000 per person for a group of two or more. You can view our full surfing price list here.

Remember, you’ll get a private surf instructor (at least one instructor for every three people), plus board rental, sunbeds, and a t-shirt.

So, if you’re after a two- or three-day surf course in Legian, Bali run by friendly instructors, just contact us to book your place with us or ask any questions you may have.
