It’s not all about surfing when you’re on Legian Beach! If a bit of rest and relaxation is what you’re after, then come and chill out on our beach sunbeds for the day. Top up your tan in the sun, or stay in the shade under an umbrella.
If you’re with a group and not everybody wants to surf, our beach sunbeds offer front row seats for the rest of the group to sit and watch the surfing action. We offer special surf and sunbed packages, too – click here for prices.
For our younger visitors, we have some beach toys and games to keep them entertained. We’ll give you a bucket of water to rinse your feet so your sunbed doesn’t get sandy, but we’ve found that these are also pretty fun for splashing around in!
Plenty to eat and drink
We have a bar serving ice-cold drinks to keep you refreshed (including the famous Bintang beer), and we are happy to order food for you from the warungs on the beach.
You can try a local dish such as nasi goreng (fried rice), mie goreng (fried noodles), mie kuah (noodle soup), nasi campur (rice with a mix of chicken or fish and vegetables), or just a big plate of fresh fruit. We love being able to share Indonesian food with other people, so don’t be afraid to try something new.
For those with a sweeter tooth, several ice cream sellers walk up and down Legian Beach so you’ll never have to wait long for one to come along. Later in the afternoon, you’ll also be able to buy fresh peanuts and spring rolls from the local vendors.
For those who really want to relax on the beach, there are always a few Balinese ladies on hand happy to give you a massage, manicure, or pedicure – right from the comfort of your beach bed.
With so much to do (and eat!) you really can pass the whole day quite happily at Chandra’s Sunbeds and Surfing. And don’t forget to stay for sunset – the sunsets on Legian Beach are really quite spectacular and are best enjoyed from our sunbeds with a cold drink in your hand.
We can also do a sunset photo shoot for you – perhaps as a reminder of a romantic holiday or to give you some special family photos.
