All prices are in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) and should be paid in cash on the day. Packages for multiple days must be paid in full on the first day.

Every surf lesson includes all the equipment you need.
Please note that for kids age 12 and under, we only offer private lessons. This is to ensure that they receive the best level of care and attention to keep them safe and happy during their lesson.
Capture your experience by adding surf photography to any lesson for just 100,000 per person. We can transfer your photos on the spot using AirDrop (on iPhones) or WhatsApp. Alternatively, bring a USB stick or SD card if you’d like high-res copies of the photos, and we’ll return it to you the next day.

My kids and I had lessons with Chandra Surfing for 2 days and hired a board on the 3rd day. At the start, my son was quite nervous and ready to give up. The instructor was so kind in encouraging him, selecting small waves and making the lesson fun and safe. By the end of the lesson my son was catching unbroken waves and absolutely loving it. This is the best surf school and board hire place!!
Nicest guy ever, he was very friendly and a good teacher! Really caring and looking out for you, we also got a bunch of cool pictures free of charge. Highly recommend this place!

Very easy to book via WhatsApp. Easy to navigate website for info. Had a fantastic time with the local surfing instructors. Very good prices and well worth adding on the photographer to capture the memory! Highly recommend. Would do again if were here longer!
We met Chandra by chance and we booked 2 private 2 hours lessons.
He checked the tides and the best timing for beginners, and then we met with Eddy and Antonio (our instructors for the lessons) at the designated time next day.
The price is cheaper if you book via the website, and Chandra is nice enough to let you know this.
We started with a quick theoretical lesson on the beach, and then we run into the water for 1 hour.
We managed to get up on the board in just a few minutes, and then Eddy and Antonio helped us catch dozens of waves.
We took a 10 minutes break after, and then we went back for about 45 more minutes.
Chandra is doing this for 13 years, and he is great to chat with. Also, he is a great photographer if you decide to take the photography option.
If we are to make it back in Kuta, we’ll definitely visit Chandra again! We had a great time and they made us have an awesome experience, wanting to try it again!

Chandra and his staff are very friendly and they are experienced instructors. I call him "Professor" when he has his glasses on, it fits him a lot really. We became merely friends more than customers to him. Also his prices are sensible and he is considerate to customers budgets, too. My partner had to miss a booked lesson and he accomodated it on another day with no issues. I strongly recommend if you want to have a pleasant Surfing experience.
We had 2 surf lessons in 2 weeks and both were fantastic. Antonius, brother, suksma for the fantastic explanation and bringing me and my sister into surfing, as well as being very fun to be around. Chandra made pictures of us surfing during our first lesson for no extra cost, which was very nice.
Deddy brought us our drinks during the break as well as everyones smile when doing so.

It’s my second time with Chandra Surfing. We did a session in not long before COVID changed the world. So glad to see old pal after all the chaos and decided to do another two sessions (and because previous experience was great of coz). My wife and me had a great time again and now we can catch some waves and surf all by ourselves. We feel pretty happy about that! Antonio the coach was instructive, patient and always willing to help. Chandra’s photo shooting is even better now :).

Chandra was extremely encouraging and also clear with his instructions. He also gives extremely constructive and helpful tips to ensure that I get better with every try! And when I fail, he is still constantly encouraging, pushing me to get better with every surf!
He’s super passionate about surfing and you can tell from the way he teaches.
As a female solo traveller taking this class alone, it was a really good experience. Chandra made me feel really safe as a student and u could definitely count and trust on him as an instructor!:)

He was also really helpful in telling me which time of the day would be the best to go and surf 🙂 he also very kindly offered to take photos of me surfing towards the end of the lesson!
Will definitely come back and say hi to the folks at chocolate bar as well! They’re all incredibly warm and friendly!

Antonius, Dady and Chandra are just the nicest and coolest Indonesien friends! The price was reasonable, the course itself was perfect, got pics from them not costing extra anything. I stayed afterwards for quite a while and we chatted about surfing, life, everything and watched the sunset together! Got the amazing pics as well from Dady! Saying that he can not leave lady alone they even offered me a ride back home, I would say the best part is not just surfing anymore but to have knowing these nice guys! I can definitely just recommend!

We rented boards at Chandra‘s Surfing when we went surfing in Kuta. The staff is super friendly and always willing to give tips.
